You are teaching a language, and your pupils need to learn vocabulary? Great, bring Semper to class!
1. Download Semper
Semper is free and can be downloaded for Android and iOS. Just search for Semper on Google Play and iTunes, or share these URLs with your class
2. Install the app
On both platforms, there is a short tutorial guiding the learner to install a first pack. This works pretty straightforward for most users.
Troubleshooting: Sometimes, it seems as if we are not showing enough packs to users, which are relevant for them. Think of Peter, a German, who only gets packs meant for English users. To change that, Peter can go into "Account" (in the upper right corner) >> "My languages". Simply check the languages you understand and want to have packs in. Go back to save your selection.
3. What to learn?
You can pick from the over 50 000 courses we have available in the app, or create your own, from beginner to advanced.
If you are working with your own material or with a certain book, you can create your own material at https://www.getsemper.com
Creating your own pack can be done from any desktop computer or laptop at our creator https://www.getsemper.com
Make sure to give the pack a name that helps others find it. "Session 1" is not so great, "Wikibooks German 1 - Part 1" may be much better.
As the creator is based on collaboration technology, you can invite your class to create the pack with you. Give it a go.
After the creation, you tell your class abut the packs you want them to learn.
4. Forget Semper for a while
When you stundents have Semper running, let us do the magic. Just get used to Semper, and be impressed by the results.
5. Ask your students how things go
After about two weeks, ask your students how they progressed, and which settings they found most useful.
If you have any questions, please post them at https://www.facebook.com/getsemper/
